P.E.T. provides the necessary resources to train a service dog, free of charge, for a disabled service member, veteran, or family member along with the task, public access, and socialization training needed to ensure the safety and security of their handler.
P.E.T. Classes, taught by experienced and qualified instructors, are obedience and canine handling courses, which provide dogs and owners with the knowledge and skills to learn anything from basic commands to specialized tasks with a system that is adaptable to each individual team.
P.E.T. On The Go
P.E.T. On-The-Go is a program that provides around-the-clock, stress-free guidance and resources for pet shipping to service members who are PCSing to or from an overseas location.
P.E.T. Guardian will assist in finding a long-term foster home so members can rest easy knowing their beloved animals are in good hands; services are available for deployments, TDY, short tours, and emergency leave. PE.T. Guardian also has fostering opportunities for those interested in opening their home to a pet in need of a temporary place to stay.
P.E.T. Walk is a program that provides a social gathering of people and pets that promotes exercise and socialization – key components of responsible pet ownership.
P.E.T. Me helps handlers train and register their dog to become a therapy pet teams consisting of a sensitive, compassionate animal and its handler to be used in providing morale services in and around military bases.
